Hello Board:

I am having trouble unfolding a sheetmetal part.

The part happens to have 90deg sharp bends and two .187 radius 90deg bends.

I know i should first use the "insert bends" feature, however, this feature only lets me assign ONE radius to all bends!!!

Once i use insert the bends, the part unfolds no problem, but it is not what i want. I need those 187's in there!

Needless to say, it is driving me nuts. Help please.

When you insert bends just set one of your radius values, ususally I use the most common radius. Then you can edit the individual bends that are created and change their radius values.

If your using insert bends - go ahead and insert bends with a single radius .XXX

Once inserted, expand Flatten-Bends and RMB one of the "Sharpbend" and go to "Edit feature".

Uncheck default radius and add your radius. Do that for each bend.

That's it.

1 more quick question:

How come after i flatten my part all my cuts disappear? Is this supposed to happen or is there a setting for this.

Sorry about the newbie questions but i am not too familiar with sheetmetal.

Thanks.
