I have a question how to unfold flat the attached parasolid file.
This unfold is a pre process for laser cutting and welding. I'm on nx6

You can't unfold that part because it is not "folded". It is a die formed part.

I thaught I could break up some edges to flattern it. Some segmentation and it works- I have no exprience in nx sheetmetal.

There are at least two problems with this part including the fact that the model is not uniform thickness and the large 'toroidal' corners are not something which can be 'unfolded'. Besides, as has already been alluded to here, this is the sort of part which is formed (or to be more specific 'drawn' using a pair of dies) rather than 'folded-up' from a flat blank.

You would have to model that as 2 parts and then unfold each one.
The corner cuts can be done so when folded they will form curved corners, but it does take some trial and error to get the flanges in that area just right.

That's a fabricated weldment created from multiple pieces. And besides, those are NOT toroidal corners.
