unigraphics 2312 igs files import forces model to update for no reason

hi all,

we recently updated our NX version 2312 to build 8900, after discovering some bugs in clip section. the update solved that issue but we now have yet another situation happening.

every time we import an igs file inside the model part, if it has the "automatic sewing of surfaces" enabled, it starts to run an update from the beginning of the feature tree for no reason as it is a "dead body" with no link to the model. we sometimes have files with over 3000 operations, that keeps crashing when importing igs files, apart from the fact that it takes forever to do the update.

does anyone here experienced something similar? can you help me solving this issue?

thanks a lot to everyone,

Jorge Carvalho

Have you tried going into tools, Update, and turning on delay model update? Or mess around with these update options before importing?

hi,

still the same issue. and importing igs also does another thing that it didn´t. it places always the bodies at the end of the feature tree, before it would place them on the actual feature, meaning that if we push the tree back to edit something and import an igs, we need to roll the feature tree up to the last feature to get the igs bodies. could it be the translator files?
we have now contacted the support team from siemens to understand how to fix this. when we have any news, i'll share with the forum what was the issue.
thank you @SDETERS for your answer :)
