unigraphics license

I can't get my flex lm license to work every time i try to start or stop server or re-read license file it just says can't. Anyone know why??

What version of UG are you running? Are you migrating between major releases? If so, you need to install the latest version of Flex. Do you have the service started & running? Do you have the license file named correctly? Make sure that if there are permissions set on your machine, that they are set correctly.

Hi,
Are you running another Flexlm license along with a UG License? Flexlm typically likes to use ports in the range of 26999 thru 27005 by default. If there is a conflict with other Flexlm Services this will cause a problem as each try to grab the same port. Try specifying another port for the other licenses in the license file but remember
you will need to include the port number in the license variable value

Example:
In the License File:

SERVER Host_Name Host_Id 27150

Variable_Name=27150@host_name

Thanks i'll try it. The problem i seem to get is when i try to either stop, start or re-read the license file it says it can't.
Starting to run out of ideas on what to try next

Ben,

You may need to try and reload the Flexlm software from your vendor software. Another thing you can try is going to
Macrovision's web site and download the latest copies of lmgrd and lmutil.

Copy these over the present versions in your Flexlm directory and see if that fixes you problem.
