My company has asked me to work on an external program that interacts with Unigraphics NX 7.5 drawing files. I currently have Visual Studio 2008 and am having trouble setting up the New Project Wizard. Can anyone shed some light on this topic? I was trying to use a guide designed for Visual Studio 7 and NX2 and haven't had too much luck. I am attaching the guide. The reference I am talking about is on page 1-12. Thanks.

Hello,

I cannot open the PDF. I also do not speak Russian (I am assuming the site which your link opens is in Russian).

Personally I do not use the project wizard, as I find these cumbersome to get working and are usually not what I need. I create a blank Win32 application (DLL) and set up the project(s) myself.

Let me know if you would like to know how to set up a project manually.

The link is to a PDF from 2004 and it is in English, but I believe I am going to go the Java route. I am more comfortable with programming in Java. Thank you for your response though. Sorry you can't open the link, I just opened it fine from the forum link. Not sure what the problem is that you are having.

Hi Marx,

I am trying to develop automation in NX but I am having a tough time with the wizard, since I am having visual studio 2010. As you said in above thread that usually go manually in creating dll, can you please guide me how to create it manually.
One more query is that can the same procedure work for NX4 and NX6.

Thanks in advance,

It has been my experience that if you have Visual Studio installed and then install NX, NX will install the wizard into Visual studio.
