Hi,

I am trying to measure the distance using the 'measure between' button. The result shows in metre unit but unfortunately I need that in feet or other units else. I try to find the way to convert and show it in CATIA other than using conversion factor and calculator. Could anybody please suggest how I do that?

Thank you in advance,

Recommended for you

Tools - Options - General - Parameters and Measure
Inside "Unit" tab, you can choose the desired measurement system.

Thanks Stely,

I know how to change the working unit and I've set to be using ft at the beginning. Unfortunately, this doesn't work with the 'measure between' command button (the one with the ruler picture on it, located next to measure inertia). Do you have any further suggestion on dealing with that?

Thanks

Try restarting your Catia session, it obviously works for me. No matter how I build the part (metric system etc), whenever I change the unit, it displays the result using the desired unit. I have a picture of it too, but I don´t remember now how to insert it...

Best regards,
Stely

This may also be related to the Catia environment settings.

Are your CATSettings local, or are they retrieved from a common environment on a server? Do you work in a network environment, or is this a standalone machine?
