Hi all,

I am trying to find out that a particular component is. You will find information about this component with a picture in the attached file.

This component is used in the tuned circuit of a TDA1576, a Fm demodulator.

Any comments will be welcome!

Three pins for an rf circuit including one to ground is often a T attenuator or a filter.

It appears to be a ceramic filter. In FM, it could be use either in a filter stage or in the discriminator stage.

That section of the chip is supposed to be connected to a tuned circuit, so it seems likely that it is a ceramic resonator (as mentioned by Comcokid).

The chip is basically a quadrature demodulator. "In the quadrature demodulator, the modulated carrier is passed through an LC tank circuit that shifts the signal by 90° at the center frequency."

I've lost count how many mysterious components I've seen with "ZA" printed on them. ;-)

PS: The newer versions of MS-Word have a facility to shrink embedded images down to more-suitable resolution with a couple of clicks. This 3.1 MB one-page MS-Word document would probably be significantly smaller after that process.
