Hi there,
I am new to this site so please bear with me since i am not even sure if i am posting in the precise forum. I am a new engineer and am unfamiliar with the most efficient way of looking up material codes. I am working on a project where we are redrafting and sending out for quotation parts that were initally spec'd out by engineers who worked at the company back in the early 1960's. As a result I have no way of looking up a material code of B-62-6032-001/002/003/004 specd out on alot of the parts. They basically looked like steel parts with perhaps a zinc plate but any help in the right direction would help. I thought it was possibly referring to the ASTM B62 standard but it seems to be more related to bronze.
