UNO, unless noted otherwise
or
UON, unless otherwise noted.

Neither - any abbreviation can be misinterpreted unless it is defined in a recognized standard, and the standard is referred to on the drawing.

Spoonful, if working to ASME standards and referencing Y14.100 (top level drafting std) you implicitly invoke ASME Y14.38 Abbreviations And Acronyms.

My 2002 version gives neither UON or UNO as approved acronyms.

It does give UOS for Unless Otherwise Specified.

Otherwise TLA's only make sense if they are defined either on the drawing or by a standard somehow referenced by the standard.

I agree that this abbreviation need to noted in the drawing tile block.

But I must say I see the term "noted" more often than "specified"

May be a USA V other parts of the English speaking world issue.

I want to say back in the UK 'Noted' may have been what we used but it's been over 10 years now so I can't recall for sure.
