Good morning, all. I am currently working on coming up with a welding procedure to ASME VIII / IX and API 582.

Base Material
SB-443/SB-444 Grade 1 Annealed 120 ksi
Welding Codes: ASME IX / API 582

I have been informed that the choice of the higher grade of this material was to reduce base material costs as the shell becomes thinner. My problem is that none of my welding procedures at the moment have mechanicals that meet the 120ksi.

Looking through ASME BPVC II C SFA-5.11, I find ENiCrMo-19 which should meet the mechanical requirements. I have been unable to locate a manufacturer/supplier for this filler. Does anyone have experience welding this alloy of BM or WM?

Good luck. the material is stronger because it was deliberately under annealed in the processing.
I believe that there is a modified high strength filler (slightly different composition) but I don't know what it is called.
