I have a Solidworks 2004 drawing created using the "Make Drawing from Part/Assembly" button. I cannot get rid of a line the program draws from Lower left corner of the sheet to the center of the primary view (a bottom view). The endpoint on the corner is fixed and the endpoint of the line on the view drags with the view.

I had started the drawing with the top view as primary view and then changed my mind and restarted with a new drawing, deleting or overwriting the first one.

It seems almost intentional the way the line follows the primary view's position on the page. Is this a convention of some sort, and is there no way to turn it off?

Thanks,

What SP are you on? I seen this on early SP0.0 of SW04. What your seeing is the Auto centermark. To keep this from happening Go to Tools\Options\Document Properties\Detailing - Uncheck "Centermarks" under "Auto insert on view Creation".

In SP2.1 this is not the case. I just tested it with a part and Suto Center mark turned on. I followed the same procedure you did by using the "Make Drawing from Part/Assembly" button. Problem seems to be repaired.

Looks like I'm on 0.0. I'll have to get a product serial number and get the latest SP. All's looking better now though.
