Update Associative Measurement

Is there anyway to get an associative measurement in an assembly to automatically update after you switch arrangements?

I have an associative measurement between the faces of two different components. The position of one of the components changes in each arrangement.

I'd like the associative measurement's expression to automatically update when I switch arrangements. However, the measurement seems to only update if I manually double-click on the measurement in the Part Navigator.

If it is two different components you will not be able to switch the associative measurement between the components.
You can have two different associative measurements, one to each of the components, and toggle them on/off (using suppression by expression) depending on what component is being utilized.

Same two components, BlockA & BlockB, but the distance between BlockA & BlockB changes depending on the arragement.
