Dear Folks;

I have opened a solidworks 2003 assembly which has many many notations in the browser that begin with an icon that looks like the split part icon, then has the text "UPDATE SKETCH1 IN PART Such and Such. It looks to me like a list of all the changes that were made to this assembly but I am not sure. Can anybody enlighten me about these notations and how one uses them ?

Many thanks in advance

Adrian

These refernce in-context relations. Chances are, the assembly was made "top down", where some critcal sketches drive much of the assembly, or a few key parts drive the rest of the assembly. "The attempt and not the deed confounds us."
