Upgrading Fire Water System

I am currently working on a project to Upgrade the Existing Firewater System with a Jockey Pump. I came across a few probable alternatives to the Jockey Pump in my research. However, I would like to get an idea of the system that is used in other organization whether it’s a Jockey Pump or another technology.

What is in place currently

What is the system supplying fire hydrants only, fire sprinklers only or both or more[tt][/tt]

Its a refinery, the pump supplies both to hydrants and to sprinklers...currently there are two electric driven fire pumps designed at 1500 GPM at 150 psi the back up pumps are both diesel driven. There is currently no pump to maintain the pressure on the closed loop as a result the a fire water pump is constantly in operation

Therefore you do need a jockey pump, however, you should find the leak(s) before investing in such pump.
