It is becoming more and more common that CAD users are upgrading from CATIA V5 to CATIA V6 and CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
Although the upgrade will bring increased functionality with ease of use, it can often be intimidating to use when the interface looks refreshed.
Furthermore, it can become increasingly frustrating when you cannot find the tool you are looking for.
One of these tools is the Enhanced Scene function from CATIA V5.
I have previously used it very often in CATIA V5 Assembly.
Now, I just moved to a different company that uses 3DEXPERIENCE so, I am a new user.
Today, I have been trying to figure out how to get the Enhanced Scene, but I wasn’t able to do it.
Could somebody give me a helping hand in this matter?

Thank you……

Unfortunately this is an area I have not used much, so I'm not so familiar, but I think this is the direction to go. The functionality is now called Markups, and it is associated with the Design Review app.

From the assembly context, insert a new Markup for your assembly. This is available from several apps, not only Design Review.

Now using the Design Review app, insert one (or more) new Slides in the Markup. Reposition or otherwise manipulate the models pretty much the same as you would with a Scene in V5. For example, move the parts around to make a representation for a drawing view. Here you also have new functions like 3DCompare, Interference Analysis, and Sectioning. Reset Overload Properties is now called "Reset Markup Data."

For a drawing, you can create new view and link it to the Slide to capture the viewpoint and arrangement.

To exit the Markup view, right-click on the Markup in the tree and "Unset Current". To enter and edit the view, just double-click on the markup (or right-click on the Markup and "Set Current").

Hope that helps. There's a lot of functionality in this that I have not learned how to use yet. But the really powerful thing is that these review slides can hold a lot of data, and the data gets preserved with your design.

MatkAF,

What is the use of the 2D grid in Catia V6 (3DEXPERIENCE)?

How could it be checked/unchecked?

Thank you,
