Hi All
I teach at an engineering academy and one of the courses we offer is an introduction to PLC's. I have 8 Allen Bradley SLC-500's and use 8 paid for licences of RSLogix version 7.30.10. I recently obtained a budget to upgrade our old desktop PC's and specified Windows 7 operating system. Can you see what's coming? After a polite conversation with a lady at Rockwell I was informed that the version of RSLogix I have installed will not work on Windows 7. Should I wish to use Windows 7 I would have to upgrade to a later version of RSLogix and stump up more cash for a product I have already purchased.
I know this is common practice among a lot of software vendors but I still think it a little unfair. Does anyone know of a work around for this situation?
Thanks chaps
