Does any one have experience of using U-PVC for the Sodium Hypochorite solution? The temp of the solution is 25 deg C maximum .

Vendor is a chemical injection package supplier and he is going to use this material for piping inside the package . But the valves and fittings are all of Titanium. Since Titanium is of costly material, we suggested to use Plastic material and initially he was suggesting C-PVC but now changing it to U-PVC

Thanks to give your experience on this please.

Most of the larger RO Plants and water treatment plants are using PVC piping for low pressure Hypochlorite injection;- it is believed that U-PVC will resist better in the sun, but a good paint on the PVC piping should do the trick. There is some advice against C-PVC due to increased brittleness in contact with Sodium Hypochlorite. I personally never experienced any such failure. Also, agree that Titanium is a bit extravagant, unless it is the Client's choice.

PVC is fine for room temperature bleach.

Outdoor applications should be painted if they need long durability.
