Use Caller ID to route Phone Call

I am looking for a device that uses Caller ID to route an incoming phone call to a modem or FAX.

The idea device would be capable of storing a group (20-100) phone numbers representing valid numbers to be routed to the modem. All incoming calls with numbers not appearing in the group would pass through to a telephone. Incoming calls should be answered and routed by the device prior to ringing a telephone.

The device should be a stand-alone unit not connected to a PC.

I have searched the Internet but could not find a stand-alone device.

It is possible to do it with hardwired logic but the simplest is to use a microcontroller.

The caller ID message is in a standard 1200 bps FSK modem format in serial ASCII. ( Bell 202 modem )You will need somehing like a microcontroller with UART to parse the fields and determine a caller number, provided a number is sent, and a modem receiver. You may also need to program the routing data in your device so you will need some interface. If this routing programming is to be done by a PC application, some isolation barrier will be needed either for the phone line or PC. Perhaps it could use DTMF for programming in some way.
Will you need to formard the caller ID down to the routed phone or terminal device?
Depending on the line length and equipment after this router, the routing process might trip ring during switching thus dropping the call.
