Use of cathodic protection (sacrificial anodes) with Cast Iron (EN-GJL-250) in ph5 submerged medium?

Greetings,

I have a customer who is to install cast-iron pump (en-gjl-250) submerged in medium (textile effluent) with pH5. Is installing sacrificial anodes a good measure to reduce corrosion rate and enhance pump life?

Medium temp : 40deg C.
ph : 5

Did anyone do the math on the anodes?
At that pH they will be consumed quickly.
They will need to check often.
