We are exchaning data files with our customer. They use a master model approach, but with the drawing included in each part or assembly. When we open up their files and view the drawings, we do not get their title block and border. We asked them to send us their template file, but now we don't know how to get that information to overlay on their drawings. Any ideas? They run v18, we run NX1.

Thanks,

Is their format/title block a 'pattern' file? If so, you'll need to set the env variable 'UGII_PATDIR=' to the directory where the pattern file resides.

ie

UGII_PATDIR=c:\formats

This is in the ugii_env.dat file, or can be set via a batch file, or, I imagine explicitly set via the Enviornmental Variable settings in Windows.

Thanks, Dave. That was it.

Actually, the key word Pattern helped the most. I did a search for it in the help and learned how to replace these patterns with the one the customer gave me. It was definitely a pattern. I also set up the UGII_PATDIR variable just in case.

Thanks again.
