I have a cylindrical wall constructed of basalt stone using dry construction technique. It is covered with a semidome built of scoria mixed with cement. the other side of the dome is attached to a transverse arch built of basalt stone and using corbelled technique. could anyone help me answer these questions for conducting the abaqus analysis:
1. How should I deal with the basalt wall (as one homogenous wall or sets of overlapping basalt stones and draw them separately), considering that the wall is built of two sandwished layers.
2. How should I define the material module for the dome section knowing that it is composed of the scoria stone mixed with cement mortar?
3. How should I define the corbelling structural system (two layers of overlapping basalt stones each one is projecting as a cantilever) above the transverse arch (as separate stone blocks or as homogenous corbelled shape outline)
4. How should I define the connection areas and mesh them for analysis?
Sorry for having lots of questions but I am new to abaqus and is currently facing these complex problems. It should be greatly thankful if anyone can help me solve them.
