using barrette and pile simultaneously

i am working in petrochemical plant design company, sometimes we face to large base shear in heavy equipment foundation design at high seismic hazardous areas,so designers have to consider combination of two system e.g. barrette and pile for controlling shear beneath foundation ,please inform me if you have any experience about this method,my concern is about different values of necessary displacement for mobilizing shear resistant in pile and barrette system.even small point is important for me.thanks.
