Hi All,
Always had great help in these forums, so here's another topic I hope can help someone else too.
We are experimenting with abandoning the traditional hard assembly drawings (exploded view, fastener lines, etc.) and replacing them with an eDrawings file to be displayed on the assemblers desk computer. My question regards the display options when mousing over a component in the eDrawings viewer. Currently the pop-up text displays the .sldprt filename. I was hoping to somehow change this to a assigned sequential Item #, effectively replacing the traditional balloons used to match the drawing to the correct part #'s on the BOM.
This seems like something which should be possible, but not sure what steps need to go together to make it happen. Perhaps assigning the parts properties through a design table? Or naming configurations a number during part creation, then displaying configuration names?
Thanks in advance.
