I am bit confused using this kind of graph. Can someone help me to figure this out how to get the value of External pressure coefficient for windward, leeward and side wall..thanks in advance.

Walls are assigned zones 4 and 5. For windward wall use positive values of GCp which is given at the bottom of the chart. For leeward and side walls use negative values of GCp. The values of GCp are a function of effective wind area which may or may not be same as the tributary area. See thread507-251850 for explanation.

I suggest you buy a copy of “Guide to the Use of the Wind Load Provisions of ASCE 7-02” by Kishor C. Mehta, James Delahay. Newer version might be available.

It has lots of solved examples and very cheap investment.

Of course I am aware mike, I only asked how to obtain the coefficient for the external pressures. I do some calculations for mwfrs only and not for the components and cladding. So I am new with this thing. Thank you anyway.

Thank you for the suggestion, appreciate that. But I don't have to spend money for my simple problem if someone like DST148 is there to give help to those who are in need.

Thank you so much for answering directly to my problem and I really appreciate your help, actually that is the only thing I need to know. Keep it up...God Bless..

You can use formula to replace the chart if you want to use it in Excel spreadshhet, see attached sample.
