Using .jnl to recreate an ABAQUS job for multiple trials

I have a quick question. I created a complete ABAQUS model, and I am under the impression that the .jnl file that is simultaneously created with my model represents the commands to create this simulation on ABAQUS at any time - all you need to do is copy that code and paste the code into the command line of ABAQUS or python. On this note, I copy my .jnl file into the ABAQUS command window and it does NOT work. I get the message "Feature creation failed" and the script stops running. This is odd because I have never touched/edited these scripts before.

All I did was create a working model on CAE. Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn't I be able to recreate my model on ABAQUS by copying/pasting the corresponding .jnl file into the command window? Why would I get an error message for a scripts that corrosponds to a working ABAQUS simulation tat was originally created in CAE?

Thanks in advance!

*The reason I want to do this is because I want to rerun my simulation for different dimensions in a parametric study.
