Any guidelines on using multiple reducers for drastic line size changes?
Example 8"x2". I would go 8"x4" and 4"x2". Is this OK or are there specific rules to follow.

Thanks.

Use what is available in ANSI B 16.9 table 12. in your case it is 8 x 4, 4 x 2. even 8 x 6 would need a 6 x 3, 3 x 2.

The ycan look quite odd, especially if you've got eccentric reducecers, but it's allowable.

For really big changes (say 16 x 2) you could use tees, but it is fairly rare to go for that sort of size change.

No problem.

I don't know that it is illegal, but it seems stupid. Why wouldn't you use a weld-o-let?

"Belief" is the acceptance of an hypotheses in the absence of data.
"Prejudice" is having an opinion not supported by the preponderance of the data.
"Knowledge" is only found through the accumulation and analysis of data.
The plural of anecdote is not "data"
