Hi,

I have Siemens Nx 1953 , floating user license . it's installed on my organisation's server {SITE A} .
i can use it in my network floating on any PC where NX is installed .

on client PC the license file is configured as : 28000@server

I want to know how can i use it remotely (site B) ??
VPN is needed ? If needed how to configure it ?
and how to configure nx license file as per to get the license in client Laptop when moved remotely (site B) .

You need VPN connected to the network your license server is on.

Also, check with your admin to see if your license supports "borrowing". If so, you can borrow the license onto your laptop and use NX while away from the server.

how can configure vpn a standard procedure ??

If your network is set up such that the users on site B can see the files on Site A's servers, you need not do anything at all.
( depending on if you can ping the license server on site A from Site B or not.)
If you are working from home or other networks which are "not-your-company-network", your company should provide you with a VPN line such that you can reach the company servers.
if you have that VPN line up and running, and you can ping the license server through that , you can run NX.

Tomas
