I'm using a 12 volt battery to power a non-inverting amplifier and I need to use the battery as a +/-5 volt power supply. How do I go about doing this?

How much current do U need, tolerances, ripple ? <nbucska@pcperipherals.com>

Suggestion: Create the zero dc neutral (0VDC) at 6V. Then, finetune the voltage to plus minus 5V by potentiometers or trimmers.

If Memory serves me correct, Dallas Semiconductor, made a simple 8 pin dip that did the +/- from one source thing, the current is not a lot, but it did do the job for what I needed....
