I got a memo today from the Oklahoma DOT about this new Type EV3 vehicle. Among other things, the FHWA is requiring them to load rate all new bridges and rehabs with the EV3.

I was looking at MDX and I don't see any way you can use another truck besides the HL-93 for LRFD designs. Yes you can use any permit truck you like, but the permit is only checked for Strength II and it only calculates Operating Rating. I have emailed and called MDX and got no response.

Bridgebuster you are correct, the rating is at the Operating Level.

I was looking at it this morning, and I can plug in the EV3 as a permit vehicle and use the Service Moment output from MDX to calc the rating.

It might be time to look into LEAP Steel Bridge...

I believe the EV2 & EV3 trucks, as well as the SU4 through SU7, are included in the truck libraries of WYDOT's BRASS Girder and BRASS Culvert programs. It also has the ability to add custom truck configurations to the library. I've added several trucks and various other loads, such as trackhoes, to my library files, and it was fairly easy.
