Using reference sets in drawings-Not showing

One of the preferred methods of displaying the raw part to a machined part from the same model in our company is through the use of reference sets. The raw part is created and the steps are placed on layer (example 5). Then the machining steps are added to a extracted body on a different layer (example 6). Layer 5 items are added to to Reference Set "Raw" and the layer 6 items are added to Reference Set "Machine". In the part drawing the raw reference set is selected and the raw piece is dimensioned. The part is machined after the weld assembly. Now in the fab print the raw parts are welded together and the assembly raw-reference set is selected and in the next print level machine the machine-reference set is selected to give machining dimensions. My problem is the reference sets are working on the assembly mode but when I get to the drafting this assembly doesn't seems to show the machine parts. The parts are not shown. I've turned on the layer 6 where the machine parts should be but nothing is there. I've selected the assembly in the Assembly navigator and changed to the "Machine-reference set". Any help on this matter or a better way of doing this would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry forgot to mention I'm running NX 6.0.5.3

We do something very similar as in creating specific reference sets that different teams can make use of (raw, machined, as you say). We then create a common reference set called 'Drawing' which carries all of the geometry and solids. This is the one that is used for any drawing file.

Sometimes, you have to 'play around' in the assembly navigator ensuring that the reference sets are correct throughout the entire structure.

Check whether you have turned off the layer by using "Visible in view".

Not sure what happened I reinserted the views and it worked this time. Thanks for the tips.
