Using Stainless Tubing Underground.

Can anyone tell me if it's ok to route stainless steel tubing underground in direct contact with earth for instrumentation purposes? Or could you point me toward which standard I should be looking in? This is typical tubing used in instrumentation. 3/8"x20'x.032" ATP 304 304L

If you just direct bury it, you will have to dig it up to replace it, and you will replace it someday.

If you put it in a conduit, you can pull a replacement tube without digging.

I'm not seeing the virtue of direct burial, except maybe in a sandy desert.
