Dear all,
As a part of a program to minimize Crude Column overhead corrosion, we have a plan to improve wash water injection to the upstream of Crude Column Ovhd Condenser. Actually, such a practice have already been applied all this time, yet the wash water flow rate is considered as too low and we suspect that the water still contains considerable amount of oxygen. So we try to find water from other sources.
One of the source in our consideration is Stripped Sour Water since it's availability in adequate quantity. From some references, I was informed that stripped sour water could be used for such an application but it must meet some requirements such as:
- it should be non phenolic stripped sour water
- Sulfate content must be nil
- containt no oxygen
- Chloride content must be less than 30 ppm
Could somebody please tell me if there is any other requirement? Or if you think that stripped sour water is not a good idea, please feel free to comment.
