Dear all,
code contents:
T-434.1.5 Heat Treatment.
The calibration block shall receive at least the minimum tempering treatment required by the material specification for the type and grade.
If the calibration block contains welds other than cladding, and the component weld at the time of the examination has been heat treated, the block shall receive the same heat treatment.
Actual application
Product material SA-537-CL2
My question is:
1.If we apply calibration block is P1 material only.
Should we subject this calibration block to heat treatment as SA-537-CL2 that Quench and Temper?
2. What's mean for "at least the minimum tempering treatment" ?
for SA-537-CL2, minimum tempering treatment only temper treatment, or to be all same heat treatment as Quench and Temper?
