Hi All,
We have an issue re UTS of Super duplex Stainless steel 18"x8" weldolet - the UTS as per the MTR is 114741psi instead of 116000 as per listed in A182. Vendor advises they used 10" piece as starting material and UTS over 2" thick is only 10600 so it is acceptable - are we can agree with this? or should it meet the finished product thickness requirement..
Appreciated any kind advise

The fitting does not meet the A 182 material specification minimum ultimate tensile strength requirement because it is under 2” wall thickness and Footnote F does not apply. Since the vendor used a thicker piece of material to fabricate this fitting they should have known this was a problem. Footnote F applies to material 2" or thicker in product form. Your material is thinner and needs to comply with the higher minimum strength requirement in Table 3.

Thank you so much for the quick advise!
