I try to find the UV properties or rating of these plastics(Cycoloy C6600 and Wonderlite PC110) in their material specification but can't find any. I doubt if there's specific figure because I tried to google but can't find either. Can somebody shares some thoughts please.. or can point out reference or links.

Thank you soo much.

Probably needs a special request to GE Plastics and Chi Mei Corporation to get what data they have.

This.

Also UV resistance is a rather difficult property to test and specify as the weather is a variable with place and time.

Artificial tests are more reproducible than sunlight tests, but don't correlate well with the.

The colour of the compound can also have a dramatic effect on the results as can what you consider the mode of failure.

Is a failure related to:-

1) Colour change.
2) Change in elongation at break.
3) Some sort of impact test. If so,notched or not notched
4) Some sort of tensile test.

Often at least initially, impact and elongation goes down while tensile goes up.

Thanks cloa, seems the best way, I'll request to them.

Patprimmer, very well explain, thanks for the additional knowledge

Except that there is no such thing as GE Plastics anymore.

A bit late posting, but Cycoloy is an ABS/PC blend, and the butadiene rubber in ABS is very poor for UV resistance.

Probably why no data will be available.

Of the two, the PC is likely to be better. Rarely will you get UV exposure data...
