Does anyone know how the V.35 functional timing works? This is a sync I/F like RS-232 -- but there is no data available to show timing. I am interested in transferring T1 data to a CSU/DSU, and need to understand the link between my box and the CSU/DSU.

V35 is an old (I think obselete) ITU-T standard. It can be obtained from the ITU-T website ( via the electronic bookstore. I think it costs 21CHF (about $15).

Thanks for the fast response. That specification only discusses the electrical aspects for the link, I need the timing for Rx and Tx, and handshaking. There is also the V.11 spec, this also pertains but again it is also electrical and not functional.
