Does anyone have any experience or tips that they can provide with regard to the design of V-Band Clamps for larger pressure vessels designed in accordance with PD5500.
The pressure vessel in question has a shell Dia. of 355mm
Design Pressure 7.0 Bar.G
Design Temperature 150 Deg C
Approx. Volume 113 Litres.

Any help or information you can provide would be most welcome.

arto (Mechanical), do you have the computer program to desing GrayLocs for super heavy duty as per ASME Sec VIII App 24 if you need to design your own Clamp Connections?

I did get a copy of the program at the ASME SOUTHEAST TEXAS SECTION on Pressure Vessel Design Semiar Houston Texas Section in 1998.

I made my own in FORTRAN many moons ago, when it used to be App. Z. I've been out of the PV ind. for 10 years though - turbines & motors now.
