I am looking for a V velt pulley with 4 channels (for 4 belts) that has and special design so that the opening of the channels can be open when the belts are need untighten to be removed
The open/close of the channels is done by adjusting a big nut at the end of the pulley`s shaft

V velt type is A
Outer diameter of the pulley assembly is 220 mm

Does anyone know how this pulley is called or who sells them?

Adjustable pulleys are normally 1 groove.
I've never seen one with multiple grooves, not even in a catalog.

Normally, idlers or adjustable motor mounts are used to demount and tension multiple belts.

When the machine is next stopped,
take another picture, then please
PUT THE GUARDS BACK ON.

In order for that drive to work as described, there have to be eight cones, moving axially in pairs so as to open and close the gaps.

To do that, the hub has to be pretty complicated, and delicate, as drive parts go.

Nobody in his right mind would sell such a thing on the open market, certainly not in America. An arrogant machine builder with a skilled workforce and a skilled service force might risk it, and might even think it's no big risk. They might be out of business as a consequence. ... which might explain why you are here, asking for a source.

Just for fun, please tell us who made the machine, and if they're still around.

Then drag out a catalog, and reverse engineer a nice drive with an adjustable idler, using simple, easy to find parts.

Using a Taperlock busing to mount the pulley to the shaft might make belt replacement easier. When the bushing is removed the belts will be slack.

MikeHalloran: The guard was taken out just to take the picture
Pulley assembly is indeed made of 8 cones. I have dismantled and made drawings for us to manufacture 8 new cones having the outer diameter I need. So far we have finished 3 cones and looking good

berkshire: yes. the pulleys is just like that

Berkshire, thanks, I stand corrected.
