Can someone explain how infinity works in CATIA V5?
We noticed that when we create an infinite line (and nothing else), we only see a small portion of it. FitAllIn doesn't seem to effect anything. When we measure the line, the length = 2 Km (or 78740.157 in). If we add a line with an infinite start, the length = 1 Km (or 39370.07 in)
Now if we add points, we can make the coordinates any value we want. Coordinates can be larger (much larger) then the 1 Km infinity value we got from lines. FitAllIn now works as expected. Plus we can now see the ends of the lines.
so here's our questions:
Is there an option to define the length of infinity?
Does V5 have a model dimension (model space), similar to V4? (what do companies do when they work on things larger than 1 Km?)
Is there an option to make FitAllIn recognize infinite lines?
thanks, ....Jack (currently using V5R11)
