HEY ALL!

I'M TRYING TO CREATE A FAB VIEW OF A BODY FROM A CATPART.
I SEARCHED THE HELP DOCS BUT ONLY FOUND SOMETHING ABOUT MAKING SURE THE 'DISPLAY BACKGROUNDS AS SPECIFIED FOR EACH VIEW' IS ACTIVE FROM THE VISUALIZITION TOOLBAR. THE THING IS I CAN NOT FIND SAID ICON OR TOOLBAR. TRIED SEARCHING FOR A SIMILAR ICON ON ANOTHER TOOLBAR BUT AM HAVING NO LUCK.
ALL I WANT TO DO IS FILTER OUT THE OTHER BODIES SO I CAN ONLY SEE THE ONE IN MY VIEW. IS THIS POSSIBLE AND IF SO WHERE CAN I LOOK TO CREATE THIS VIEW.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS.

Right click on the body that you want to see and select 'Define in Work Object' then in Tools toolbar select the 'Only Current Body' icon (looks like 3 small horizontal rectangles) - it will turn orange and change to one small rectangle with a line under it. You will now only see the selected Body. Defining other Bodies as the in work object will cause them to be individually visible.

Thanks for the tip on the 'Only Current Body' icon. I didn't know that one.
But, how do I create a 2D view of, just, that body? When I tried it with that icon pressed it still created a view of the entire part. Is there a way to filter out the other bodies when creating the view?

Thanks again for the tip.

Ok,

when the view is created in drawing, right clic and go ...View object / modify link

then in 3D select the Body you want to see, then clic back in drawing, in the dialog box at the bottom right, clic Add all and in the top window you will see that your Body replace the whole part. Done

Have fun
