V5R21 Reseting User Settings on Earlier Revs

We have our designers setup with several Revs of Catia V5 (16 - 21). When opening R21 the users are complaining that all of their settings are being reset to default on all the other revs. It sounds like the settings file is being replaced when R21 opens. Is anyone familiar with this?

This will occur if you use the default Catia Env files for each version. The simplest way to resolve this is to setup a common spot on the server that your desktop icon pulls the environment file.
In my example
K:\CatiaApps\Settings\CATEnv
K:\CatiaApps\Settings


"C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B21\win_b64\code\bin\CATSTART.exe" -run "CNEXT.exe" -env CATIA-64.V5R21.B21 -direnv "K:\CatiaApps\Settings\CATEnv" -nowindow


Edit the environment file (CATIA-64.V5R21.B21.txt) to modify the path where the settings go.

CATReferenceSettingPath=K:\CatiaApps\Settings\R21\CATSettings_Ref
CATUserSettingPath=K:\CatiaApps\Settings\Users\%USERNAME%\R21\CATSettings
CATCollectionStandard=K:\CatiaApps\Settings\R21\CATStandard

This will keep the settings separate by version and allow usage on different machines throughout your facility.
FYI, do not copy previous settings to newer versions.
