Dear all,
I have the query about safety design requirement related to vacuum design requirement for the compression train as follows: -
If the suction pressure for the reciprocating compressor which speed is around 1000-1500 rpm is very close to atmopheric pressure e.g. 0.15 Barg and the service fluid is natural gas. Applying API 14C, PSLL is already installed at the upstream of the compressor. In addition, quick response time (1 sec) recycle valve is provided. Is the system has to be design with the vacuum load or not due to the characteristic of reciprocating compressor and very small inventory at the upstream of the compressor?
