I am designing a vacuum sillpot (batch) for the distillation of 2,4 difluorobenzophenone from spent Friedel-Crafts catalyst. I propose to use liquid ring vacuum pumps to get me down to a pressure of about 8mm Hg, corresponding to a phenone temperature of 200oC. Can anyone tell me how many of these I am likely to require and how expensive they are. I would prefer to use liquid rings as I don't want a vacuum device that involves mixing of the process fluid with the working fluid. i propose to use the phenone as the liquid seal lso. Does anyone have any ideas
