I was thinking about compiling a reference manual for folks who work in the vacuum industry, using for example vacuum trucks or portable vacuum equipment for transporting products, cleaning storage tanks, etc (rather than vacuum cleaning in the conventional sense). As such, it would contain info like a table of distances that a solid column of water can be lifted vertically at various levels of vacuum, friction losses in hoses, effect of specific gravity, etc. Does anyone know if such a reference exists? Does anyone have suggestions for what type of information might be most useful on a practical level?
