Greetings Sparkies!

Can anybody provide any insights into control boards on electric actuator? I think Limitorque motorized actuator has 24VDC power board as a standard, but I think there are also other valves that accept 120VAC input to power the control board and have an internal power supply that also provides 24VDC for control power as an option. What would be pros/cons of each? I'd think I'd rather have the board externally powered by 24VDC for my OPEN/CLOSE command and dry contacts. One less potential failure component.

Thoughts?

Thanks
EE

I'd use the valves with it built in. Likely much more robust and less failure prone.

The DC supply they'll use will be much simpler and tougher than an external one you source.
