Hello ,
I am a new project Engineer working in gas compression . Seeing a lot of 1/2" or 1" ball valves used as drains and vents .
Common designation is 1"BCN1.LN , where
B=ball
C= Carbon
N= NPT
1?
L= locking
N=Nace
So the questions are
1. What does 1 stands for . Sometimes I have seen 2 or 3
2. Why sometimes we have to use locking device on the valves
Thanks for the replies in advance
Regards
Garry
