Hi!

I have a question,I´m trying to select the CORRECT VALVE FOR the following application:

I have a water seal drum for a flare stack application, the main function of the valve train is to supply water in order to "prevent" the flame flashback (if it occurs). See attached file.
I know that valve must automatic and have communication with level transmitter but I do know if I have to use:
-Or a solenoide valve
-Or an automatic control flow valve
-Or a simple ball valve operated with an actuator

I have these three options or even more. But I want to know according to your experience, what kind of valve can I use.

For this application, I think it is not necessary to have a control flow due to is just water supply.

Thank you

Roland

We fabriacte liquid seal drums for different design companies and everybody has a different idea. I have seen the same company use different flow control valves so it may even be dictated by the end user. From the fabrication end of the buisness it appears there are lots of options.
