Hello ,

Is there any experience on Inorganic Zinc Silica primer (%85 zinc content)
Paint system is same as follows.

IOZ (50-75microns)+High Built Epoxy (100-125microns)+ Polyeurethane Top Coat (40-60microns)

This primer adhesion resistance is too low or we didn't apply as right. But We follow the paint manufacturer recommendation.

But flange back areas after the counter flanges tighteen and area of near the nut the paint has crack and peel from surface.

Does anybody suggestion for me.

Zinc silicate cures by reaction with atmospheric moisture. So coating thickness, humidity, temperature, and cure time are important. I do not agree with those who state that zinc dust galvanically protects steel surfaces. This requires that there be electrical conductivity between the steel and the zinc particles, which there is not, due to the silicate coating and oxidation on the surface of the zinc particles. The coating protects because anything that can corrode steel will react with the zinc before it can get to the steel.

System is IZS (50-75mic ) + High built Epoxy (120-150mic)+ Polyeurethane (40-60mic)
All paint has been crack and remove from base surface during boltings are tighteen.
