Valve schematic drawings/diagrams

HI,

what are the basis for choosing what accessories (SOV, air operated valve, regulator etc) to put for a particular valve. Some come with a simple schematic diagram and some come with complicated ones. I know it depends on operating/control requirements (power fail, air fail, booster for stroke speed etc). My question is, is the reference say one engineering document in the project phase or its an input from many places (SIL requirement, client requirement etc) Hope I made my question clear..

Yes, these are all the references needed for the engineering to consider in the selection of the control accessories. In additional, the design may be compliant to the Industrial Codes and Standards.
