I ran into some valve specifications where the trim of the valve is described as 'Trim 5' or 'Trim 8'. What are these numbers? I understand that the valve trim numbers correspond to the numbers in API-600 Table 3 or API-602
Table 4
Anybody can help me find these tables?

Thx

I'd suggest that a good place to find API 600 Table 3 or API 602 Table 4 would be in API 600 (cast steel gate valves) or API 602 (forged steel gate valves)....

And when you look there you'll find, among others, the following trim numbers:

1 13Cr/13Cr (13Cr=410=CA15 cast= F6 forged)
5 HF/HF (HF=hardface=stellite)
8 13Cr/HF
9 Monel/Monel
10 316/316
11 Monel/HF
12 316/HF

(You can order the standards through the American Petroleum website, which refers you to
